Mentor Jennie Levins

Expertise: Visual merchandising, retail decor and design. 

Personal Summary:

My experience in retail and educational qualifications to have provided me with strong skill set in visual display, design and styling environments.  I hold a BA Honours Degree in Photography from Dublin Institute of technology and have been working in visual merchandising and consultation roles for the last 7 years. I have worked with a number of prominent Irish retailers including Clerys department store and the Kilkenny shop along with with smaller independent stores on a variety of projects. The focus of my work is to visually appeal to the customer, creating interest in the product and increasing sales for the retailer. Through visual merchandising I have worked in many areas where aesthetic appeal is of utmost importance in the generation of sales and brand awareness. These areas include store design, window concept generation, brand focused in store campaigns, trade show installations and product photography projects.

 

Mentoring Experience:

My role as a visual merchandiser has included consultation and hands on collaboration with store management and staff with a variety of prominent Irish retailers with a focus on craft and Irish made product. I provide mentoring on the value of visual merchandising and aesthetics in the highly competitive retail market.  The focus for each project, can include mentoring on, or the implementation of, floor plans, window displays retail design and decoration, brand focused displays, and highlighting the unique selling points of products. My aim is to provide the client, with the tools to visually appeal to and engage their customer, create interest in the product and increase sales.
