Personal Summary:
A graduate from the National College of Art and Design [1998], Eleanor has worked as an interior stylist and retail consultant in Ireland and abroad for the past 10 years. Eleanor has been fortunate enough to work with some of the industry’s top photographers, retailers, architects, production companies and advertising agencies, while making valuable contacts with suppliers worldwide. Eleanor held an eight-year in-house position with Habitat Ireland as Creative Art Director and Retail Project Manager. Now freelance, Eleanor is the resident stylist for House & Home magazine and also works on projects ranging from catalogue photography, event styling, exhibition design, retail display, advertising and editorial styling.
Mentoring Experience:
I have been involved in Showcase directly for the last four years, taking responsibility for the design, product selection and implementation of all show features. This has also included the development and implementation of a mentoring programme for all Creative Island exhibitors to assist them in the design and merchandising of their stands. I also work directly with Design & Crafts Council of Ireland as a mentor, offering merchandising and display support to individuals and groups in the craft sector, and have designed and project-managed ranging from retail campaigns to trade events such as Inhorgenta.
Qualifications:
First Class Honours degree in Printed Textiles from NCAD
Visual brand director and store concept Habitat Ireland/UK for six years
Mentoring support for 80+ exhibitors in Creative Island [2009 – to date]
Design and project management of DCCOI display area at The National Craft Fair [2009 – to date]
1-year contract with Arnotts as retail and merchandising consultant
